Ms. Luz grew up in Bogotá, Colombia and moved to Arizona in November 2022. She has two children, Daniela and Felipe. She has a university degree as a bachelor’s degree in early childhood Pedagogy from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Colombia. She worked for 4 years in a school of Traditional Pedagogy. Her approach to Montessori was 8 years ago when she was taking a course to teach the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd that contains Montessori education.
She began her career in Montessori at a school called Mi Little Cabin, where she started as a toddler assistant for two years. Her passion for this philosophy of life grew so much that she fell in love with Montessori and began to study at night and obtained her postgraduate degree at Monserrate University as a guide of Montessori Psychopedagogy – Vision of the child from 3 to 6 years old. She has a seminar on: let's get to know our children from conception to 3 years old and then she earned her AMI certificate as a Children's House Assistants Course in 2019.
During her 8-year tenure at Mi Little Cabin, she worked as a children's home assistant, toddler guide, and Lower Elementary assistant to 6-9 years old. She feels very blessed to belong to Creo School because she can work on what she loves. She firmly believes that working with children makes her more sensitive and allows her to make a beautiful difference in her life. She feels very proud to be a teacher. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, dancing, riding her bike, and spending time with her family.
